Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) applies to all credit purchases made on State Filter, operated by KAKUS ENTERPRISES PRIVATE LIMITED (“we”, “us”, “our”). Please read it carefully before completing a purchase. By purchasing credits, you acknowledge and accept this Policy.
1. Nature of the Service
State Filter is a digital, pay-as-you-go SaaS product. Users purchase prepaid credits which are consumed when mobile numbers are processed by the Service. Credits are a digital good and are made available immediately upon successful payment.
2. Cancellation of Orders
- Because credits are delivered to your account instantly upon successful payment, an order cannot be cancelled once the payment has been captured and the credits have been allocated.
- If your payment has been deducted but credits have not been allocated within 30 minutes, please contact admin@statefilter.in with the transaction reference. We will investigate and either allocate the credits or initiate a refund.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate charge: the same order was charged more than once due to a payment-gateway or technical error.
- Payment captured but credits not delivered: your account did not receive the purchased credits within 30 minutes of a successful payment and we are unable to deliver them.
- Unauthorised transaction: you can demonstrate, with reasonable evidence, that the transaction was made without your authorisation.
- Service defect: a confirmed, reproducible defect in the Service prevented you from using the credits you purchased, and we are unable to resolve it within a reasonable time.
4. Situations Where Refunds Are Not Available
- Credits that have already been consumed (fully or partially) to process files.
- Dissatisfaction with the output where the Service functioned as described — for example, state mapping results that you disagree with due to mobile number portability (MNP) or data you uploaded being of poor quality.
- Failure to read product descriptions, pricing, or the acceptable-use policy before purchasing.
- Accidental purchase of a larger credit pack when a smaller pack was intended, after the credits have been used.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for breach of our Terms & Conditions.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, email admin@statefilter.in within 7 days of the transaction date with the following information:
- Registered email address on your State Filter account.
- Payment gateway transaction ID / order ID (from the email receipt).
- Date and amount of the transaction.
- Reason for the refund request, with screenshots or evidence where relevant.
6. Processing Time
- We will acknowledge your refund request within 2 business days and decide within 7 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via the payment gateway (Razorpay or Stripe).
- Once initiated, the refund typically reflects in your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- Any corresponding unused credits will be removed from your account balance upon refund.
7. Partial Refunds
If a refund is approved after part of the purchased credits have been used, the refund will be pro-rated to cover only the value of the unused credits at the price per credit of the original package, less any applicable payment-gateway charges.
8. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback or dispute with your bank or card issuer. We aim to resolve all legitimate refund requests amicably. Fraudulent chargeback attempts may result in suspension of your account and legal action.
9. Taxes and Gateway Fees
GST and other applicable taxes paid to the government may not be refundable. Where the payment gateway does not return processing fees on refunds, these may be deducted from the refunded amount. The final refunded amount will be communicated to you before the refund is initiated.
10. Subscription Cancellation
State Filter currently operates on a one-time, prepaid credit model and does not charge recurring subscription fees. If and when subscription plans are introduced, users will be able to cancel them at any time from their account settings, effective at the end of the current billing cycle.
